Easter at Shady Hill was a beautiful day filled with love, laughter and most importantly God’s presence. As I walked out of my car, a few children were circling the trailer on their bikes, eagerly awaiting the beginning of the day’s events. The clothing was already out and many families were out selecting items to bring home.
Volunteers were busy putting up tables and electrical equipment, while others walked through the neighborhoods inviting all they found to come back for an afternoon of great home cooked food and fellowship. Our group walked through the neighborhoods and talked with several great individuals as well as some children that were very excited to find Easter eggs. When we arrived back at the trailers, the crowd had grown significantly. There were numerous adults enjoying conversations, children playing together, little girls whispering in excitement about “dancers” we would see soon.
