The Rock Cafe Ministry Leader
Every day in Taiwan brings a new challenge and a new joy, and every day is ended with a breath and gratitude for the promise that God is holding all things and all people in his hands. This season has been a busy one for the Rock Cafe. We have had more people coming to the cafe this year than we have seen in years, people are asking about God and what the gospel is and the other volunteers and I are walking through discipleship with many Taiwanese both inside and outside of the Rock. God has blessed me with the friendship of a local doctor and his family and as I've spent three years visiting them every week, the wife, Joan, has begun to open up more about the deeper issues of her heart and invited me to go through the Bible with her. This Fall I will begin to work more with my church in Taiwan, discipling the worship team members and stepping into more of a leadership role with that team. I'll also be helping to staff the School of Frontier Missions through the Fall as we prepare for the Rock's 20th Anniversary celebration in October. A lot is happening in Taiwan, and it is truly all to he praise and glory of God! Thank you Cornerstone family for being such a big part of what God is doing in Taiwan through your prayers, friendship, and generosity.
Please pray with me in the following ways:
- For me through this fall as I will be leading the Rock and organizing the anniversary celebration while staffing the school and serving with the church. It will be a busier fall than usual. Pray for God's grace, strength, and joy.
- Pray for my family and sister as we experienced the loss of my brother in law this summer.
- Health: I may need to have knee (meniscus) surgery this fall or winter. Pray for provision (right now the cost is uncertain) and for smooth recovery. Or just pray for miraculous healing!
